Be an Excellent Clinical Cardiologist

Not only learn the fundamental skills, but also obtain specific clinical skills needed to pursue your clinical career. This fellowship is designed to provide focused training in: echocardiology, nuclear cardiology, electrophysiology, invasive cardiology, and interventional cardiology. After the 3-year fellowship, you will be prepared to be ABIMAmerican Board of Internal Medicine certified in the subspecialty of cardiovascular disease.

Teaching Facilities

Our 12 matched fellows serve as consultants and members of the Coronary Care Unit. They are also assigned to the nuclear, echocardiography, electrophysiology, and cardiac catheterization labs at Augusta University Health. Fellows also gain experience in the adjacent Charlie Norwood VA Medical Center - a 400 bed facility.

Patients from the entire state of Georgia and Southeast are referred to Augusta University Health and the Children's Medical Center for cardiovascular issues.
