We are glad you are interested in our program at the Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University.
The fellowship was established in 2005 and its primary department affiliation is the Department of Emergency
Medicine at the Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University. Until 2015, the
program only accepted graduates of emergency medicine programs but is now accepting
pediatric trained residents. Our fellowship enjoys a wonderful relationship with
both emergency and pediatric departments. The Pediatric Emergency Medicine Fellowship at the Medical College of Georgia at Augusta
University receives its accreditation through the Residency Review Committee for Emergency
Medicine. We accept applications from both emergency medicine and pediatric trained
residents. After completion of a two year program, emergency medicine residents may
sit for their subspecialty boards through the American Board of Emergency Medicine.
After completion of a three year program, pediatric trained residents may sit for
their subspecialty boards given by the American Board of Pediatrics.
