Tenure-track faculty positions
The Department of Neuroscience and Regenerative Medicine at the Medical College of Georgia, Augusta University, invites applications for newly opened tenure-track faculty positions (open rank). The positions may cover any area, from molecular and cellular to systems neuroscience. Applicants with expertise in glial neurobiology, in vivo imaging and electrophysiology, and epigenetics are particularly encouraged to apply. Candidates must hold an MD, PhD, or both, and are expected to have or establish a cutting-edge extramurally funded research program, and may participate in teaching medical and graduate students. Department faculty have access to excellent core facilities for multiphoton/confocal and electron microscopy, small animal behavior and imaging, and genomics and proteomics. Our department is also the home to the Transgenic and Genome Editing Core and the Viral Vector Core. Founded in 1828, the Medical College of Georgia is the flagship medical school of the University System of Georgia, the state’s only public medical school, and one of the top 5 largest medical schools in the United States.
