Caring for our patients

Anesthesiologists provide pain management throughout surgery and are uniquely qualified to prescribe and administer drug therapies. Becoming an anesthesiologist will allow you the opportunities to care for a number of patient groups in various hospital settings.

The anesthesiology program at the Medical College of Georgia is a midsize program. Our board-certified faculty paired with the school’s high-tech simulation lab provide an immersive learning experience. The Department of Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine continues to advance by encouraging open feedback, new ideas, and new innovations.
