Based on Augusta University policy, outside professional activity by faculty or administrators
is to be encouraged under appropriate circumstances. However, since faculty and administrative
personnel have committed their primary professional efforts to the university, the
university has the responsibility to limit and regulate such activity. With certain
exceptions, faculty members are required to obtain the permission of the university
prior to engaging in outside professional activity and to make periodic summary reports
on such activity.
