Course Description: The student will participate in writing a short research proposal relevant to a project in the PI’s lab. The student will gain knowledge of the literature of the field, will obtain training and experience in appropriate laboratory methods, analysis and critical interpretation of experimental data; will participate/attend journal clubs, lab meetings and departmental seminars as deemed appropriate by the PI.

Note: this course is currently offered in Athens only; students on other campuses should refer to MEDI 5012 the Medical Education elective.

Course Description: The student will have an opportunity to reexamine anatomy relevant to future specialty training and to have a mentored teaching experience among first year medical students in the gross anatomy lab. Students will be assigned to groups according to their area of interest.
