The Master of Science in Information Security Management (MS-ISM) program provides a master's level exposure to the knowledge and skills required to protect an enterprise's information assets, educating professionals in information security, governance of IT and risk management.
The MS-ISM program is a 30-hour master’s program divided into eight, 3-credit hour core courses and two three-credit hour capstone courses. The capstone allows students a choice of two research courses or two project courses. All courses are taught online asynchronously, so there is no requirement for students to live geographically near to the university.
*GRE scores will remain optional for Spring 2022 applicants, as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. The absence of GRE scores will not impact the applicant negatively.
The admissions deadline for Spring 2022 is November 1, 2021. Apply today!
The MS-ISM program is designed to provide professional grounding in the eight domains of information security as articulated for the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP):
"There has been a shift in the culture of believing that only security professionals have responsibility for an organization's information security. In my role as Associate Director of the University IT Customer Experience Team at Augusta University, I feel that it is my responsibility to help educate our customers on this topic. By completing the MS-ISM program, I was able to gain a better understanding of the in-depth concepts required to manage in an information security environment."
