New students and employees will be granted access to the Augusta University System within 24 hours of acceptance from admissions or on-boarding from human resources. You will then activate your new account and create a secure password.
It’s vital that everyone does their part to keep passwords safe to prevent account theft. You can do this by creating a strong password and enabling two-factor authentication with Duo . Doing this will allow you to safely access AU services on campus and off.

Once you activate your account, you will receive your username, which is your NetID. You will use your NetID and password to access AU services. Please follow the below steps to get started. Please note that you must complete all steps or your account will not work. If you have questions, contact IT to get help.

Step 2: Register for Duo
As a part of a campus-wide initiative, Augusta University requires two-factor authentication to securely access all AU services.
Duo must also be used when traveling internationally.
Step 3: Ready to go!
Services such as campus email, the university's learning management system (Brightspace), enterprise software, and AU's wireless and private networks are now at your fingertips.
Your password is important because it verifies to us that you are who you say you are, so create unique passwords known only to you. Never share your password with anyone or write it down where someone can find it.
