Housing and Residence Life recognizes that professional scholars are students who   are serious about their time both in and out of the classroom. Therefore, we coordinate with our professional scholarship partners to complement their academic experience when it comes to housing on campus.

Professional scholars are given an immersive housing experience consisting of specialized interactions with others in their field within an encouraging community that focuses on student success. From these experiences, students receive additional faculty/staff interaction and collaboration with a strong peer group—that is, students who share academic interests and career goals.

Students within the scholar's community are placed on a common floor with staff members who have been specially selected to work with the residential learning community. Additionally, Students accepted into these programs will take classes together as a cohort and participate in special opportunities for volunteering, clinical exposure, research, and more. They will experience a very robust curriculum that exceeds the basic preparatory requirements of their programs, and as a result, they will be prepared well to excel at the next level through their bonds of living together.
