The Three Minute Thesis competition celebrates the exciting research conducted by
graduate students. Developed by The University of Queensland, 3MT cultivates students' academic, presentation, and research communication skills.
Participants are challenged to present their research in only 3 minutes. 3MT competitions
are now held at over 600 universities and institutions across 65 countries. The Graduate
School is proud to participate in this international competition.
Eligibility and Expectations
All disciplines are welcomed and encouraged
Must be currently enrolled master's and doctoral students at Augusta University
Enrolled through end of spring semester
Have not previously won first-place 3MT prize
Must have passed comprehensive examination (Biomedical Sciences PhD)
Students must present on original research that will culminate in either their master's
thesis or doctoral dissertation
No additional electronic media (e.g. sound and video files) are permitted
No additional props are permitted
Presentations are limited to 3 minutes maximum (Competitors exceeding 3 minutes are
disqualified)
