One fun fact about me is that I love musical theatre and have been in over 10 shows.

• Hi, my name is Robby, I am a senior majoring in Cell and Molecular Biology and Neuroscience with a minor in psychology. My goal is to help others learn about and find research project that they will enjoy working on. I am currently working on projects with kinesiology. Starting in the spring, I will also be working with the neuroscience department. One fun fact about me is that I run track and field for Augusta University.

Dagmawi Fasika

• Hi! My name is Dagmawi Fasika and I’m a sophomore majoring in Cell and Molecular Biology with the goal of becoming a physician-scientist to push the boundaries of medicine further with research. I’m actively researching the epigenetics of the trimethyl mark H3K9me3 and how it’s affected by the knockout of the JMJD1C enzyme. I’m also working on building a deep-learning model to recognize outlines of axons and myelin in coronal brain slices. A fun fact about me is that I enjoy collecting records and have grown my collection to include over 20 different artists and bands.

Yousef Mohamed

• Hi! I am a senior majoring in Kinesiology with a concentration in Medical Professions, aiming to attend PA school here at AU! I have a deep fascination with the world of research and am eager to spread this interest to others so that they may get involved in research as well! I am currently working on my own study comparing the effects of free-weight vs. machine-based resistance training in the bicep curl movement. A fun fact about me is that I have presented research at the state capital through CURS!

Fun fact: I love volunteering at river/creek cleanups, and I am allergic to mosquito bites!

The main project I have been working on is investigating the effects of coronal artery disease on Alzheimer’s disease pathology.
