Students who are interested in joining a fraternity will have the opportunity to participate
in the IFC sponsored Recruitment Week. During this time, the fraternities will be
hosting events for students to participate in so they can decide which one they would
like to further their involvement. Students are encouraged to participate in all the
events hosted by the fraternities to get a good feel for all four. These events will
start with two IFC sponsored events and end with a bidding ceremony from one of the
fraternities.
Registration Open: May 1st, 2023
Cost: $30 (You will be emailed regarding payment)
Registration Closes: September 11th (You may register at Open House)
IFC Open House: September 11th, 2022 at 6:00 pm in Ed Commons at the Health Science Campus (Required
to participate in IFC Formal Recruitment) Chapter Events: Follow the IFC instagram page at aug_ifc for more information about individual chapter
events.
Only enrolled undergraduate men at Augusta University are eligible to receive membership
invitations from Interfraternity Council chapters.
Dual-enrolled students are not allowed to receive membership invitations.
Shall not be, or ever have been, an initiated member of an NIC member organization.
For a Potential New Member, it is required to have a High School grade point average
or Collegiate Regent GPA of 2.50
May not have any Student Code of Conduct violations on record with the university.
Must register online for IFC recruitment if joining for fall, or sign a grade release
form given by the organization or Fraternity and Sorority Life Office
Advice for IFC Recruitment
You must narrow your choices and ultimately decide which group you wish to join. The
Greek organization that is best for your friends or family may not be the best one
for you.
Think about why you want to join a Greek organization. Are these qualities present
in the groups that you are considering?
Find the organization in which you feel most comfortable. Why do you feel comfortable
in that particular group?
Take a look around you. The men that you are standing with could be your brothers.
What qualities do you share with these people? Do you feel comfortable with them?
Ask questions! Get to know everything you can about each organization.
Most importantly, be yourself! There are many diverse organizations that want to know
you.

Why should I join? What aspects of Greek Life encouraged you to join?
What are the financial obligations of a new member? Are there additional costs that
members are required to pay other than the fees listed?
How long is the new member program and how much time do I need to devote to it?
What other campus organizations have you had an opportunity to participate in because
of your Greek experience?
How does Greek Life promote scholarship?
What is a philanthropy? What kinds of things do you do?
What types of activities are planned with other Greek organizations?
