Hyangbin Choi is currently an adjunct professor at Augusta University's Department
of Music and a choir accompanist for the First Presbyterian Church of Augusta.
She holds Bachelors and Masters Degrees in piano performance from the University of
California, Los Angeles and the University of Southern California, respectively. She
also completed all the course and performance requirements for a DMA degree in piano
performance at the University of Southern California except for the final oral examination.
She was a recipient of the USC Music School Dean’s Scholarship, placed in the Johanna
Hodge and Atwater Kent competitions, and was a winner of the Nancy Kendal Robinson
Competition in Los Angeles. Her teachers include Stewart Golden, Daniel Pollack, Adam
Wilbrowski, Aube Tzerko, and David Wilson.
Mrs. Choi has attended the Aspen Music Festival in Colorado and the Mackinac Music
Festival in Michigan. She has also performed in numerous solo and chamber recitals
in South Korea and other places including with the New Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra
and New Tokyo Chamber Orchestra. She has also served as adjudicator for the Georgia
Music Educator Association (GMEA) and Georgia Music Teachers Association (GMTA) auditions.
