Kevin Baggott is a percussion instructor at Augusta University. He is also the band
director of Greenbrier Middle School where he teaches over 220 students in 6th, 7th,
and 8th grade band. His bands have consistently achieved high ratings in State Performance
Evaluations and his students have placed in honor bands at the district and state
level.
Mr. Baggott earned his Bachelor of Music Education degree from Georgia Southern University,
Statesboro, GA and his Master of Music Education degree from VanderCook College of
Music, Chicago, Illinois.
Mr. Baggott has performed with the Augusta Symphony, Augusta Choral Society, Augusta
Opera, Augusta Players, Crescent Brass Ensemble, Masters Chorale Vocal Ensemble, and
numerous church groups. He is currently a member of the Savannah River Winds Concert
and Jazz bands.
As a private percussion instructor, his middle school and high school students have
consistently made District Honor Band and Georgia Allstate Band. He had students named
to the Georgia Governor’s Honors Program and the Macy’s Great American Marching Band.
Mr. Baggott is a member of Georgia Music Educators Association, National Association
for Music Educators, and the Percussion Arts Society. He lives in Evans, GA with his
wife Wendy (chorus teacher at Evans Middle School) and his sons Ryan and Nathan.
