The Jaguar Student Activities Center (JSAC) opened in the fall of 2006. It is completely funded by student fees and serves as the primary building where registered student organizations schedule meetings and events. The JSAC houses the Undergraduate Student Government Association, The Jaguar Production CREW (Student Programming Board), The Bell Ringer (Student Magazine), The Phoenix (Student Magazine), The Multicultural Student Engagement Office and the Department of Student Life and Engagement.
It also encompasses 7 event and meeting spaces as well as an outdoor plaza. The JSAC also includes a common space; game room that offers billiards, table tennis, video games and locker rooms; several seating areas for socializing and eating and gender neutral restrooms. The JSAC food court offers smoothies, coffee, pizza, sub sandwiches, a menu that includes a variety of chicken, salads, and wraps, as well as a variety of grab-and-go food items.
The Department of Student Life and Engagement manages the JSAC and operates under the Division of Enrollment and Student Affairs. The JSAC is managed by three professional staff members in the department of Student Life and Engagement. Student Employees work in the JSAC to manage the daily operations of the facility including audio-visual support for events, staffing the Information Desk and Game Room, and provide setup and breakdown of each event.
