-All new users are required to be trained by the facility staff prior to using an instrument unless they can demonstrate instrument competency

-Reserve all instrument using the iLab management software. Click here to log into iLab.

-Log in and log out using the log book next to the instrument

-If assistance is required for an experiment, please notify the facility director (Note: you will be charged for this). Periodic assistance with problems arising is not subject to an additional charge.

-Reserved and unused time will result in the user’s laboratory being billed at the hourly rate. Cancellations must be made at least one hour prior to the scheduled session.

-Prior calendar reservation is required for all instruments.

- Safety goggles should be worn all the time in the sample preparation lab. Safety goggles should also be worn in the instrument lab when performing sample introduction to the instruments.

-Lab coat should be worn all the time in the instrument room

-No food or drinks are allowed in the lab.

-No radioactive, or highly dangerous biological or chemical samples are allowed in the lab.

-Working with chemicals or preparing samples on the computer desks is not allowed.

- Failure to adhere to these policies can result in the loss of instrument access.
