A Study to Compare Bone Marrow Transplantation to Standard Care in Adolescents and Young Adults with Severe Sickle Cell Disease
The primary goal of this study is to determine the safety and efficacy of bone marrow transplanting in young adults with severe sickle cell disease (SCD) compared to those with severe SCD but without a suitable donor.
Eligibility Criteria
- Inclusion: 15-40 years of age Severe sickle cell disease (SCD) Adequate physical functioning
