Metformin and Lorcaserin for Weight Loss in People with Schizophrenia
The purpose of this study is to test two treatments for weight lose in people diagnosed with schizophrenia. The drugs used in thise study are lorcaserin and lorcaserin/metformin combination treatment. The current study will test whether lorcaserin is safe for weight loss in overweight people with schizophrenia and schizoaffective disorder and if adding metformin can lead to additional weight loss.
Eligibility Criteria
- Inclusion Criteria: 1. Diagnosis of schizophrenia or schizoaffective disorder 2. Patients 18-65 years of age 3. Current outpatient
