A Study to Explore the Incidence of Influenza and RSV in Adults Hospitalized with Acute Respiratory Tract Infection
This study will collect information on patients who have confirmed influenza (flu), respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) and human metapneumovirus (hMPV), and try to learn about the clinical, economic and human burden of having an acute respiratory tract infection. It will also look at the virus in nasal swabs taken from these patients.
Eligibility Criteria
- INCLUSION: 1. Adults hospitalized with an acute respiratory tract infection during flu season. EXCLUSION: 1. Patients in another study except another registery. 2. Not able to perform study activities. 3. Received an experimental medication for respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) within the last 6 months.
