We are one of a few institutions that allow minors to come into our laboratories for educational purposes.

Augusta University recognizes that volunteering or working in a laboratory can provide valuable learning experiences to young people. However, because there are possible safety and health repercussions that can occur, minors (age 16-18) must gain prior approval to work in laboratories or other hazardous areas.

No person under the age of 16 is allowed to work in these areas.

To obtain approval for a minor to work in a laboratory or other high-risk Augusta University program, you will need to review the checklist for information. If you have any questions, please contact us for assistance.
