March 14th will be the 6th annual event and will feature the following speakers:

 

Johnk

  • John Kindred, PhD
    • Dr. Kindred is a Research Health Science Specialist at the Ralph H. Johnson VA Healthcare System in Charleston, South Carolina. He received his Ph.D. in Human Bioenergetics from Colorado State University in Fort Collins, CO, after receiving his B.S. and M.S. in Exercise Science at the University of South Carolina in Columbia, SC. His research concentrates on the causes and consequences of the increased perception of fatigue that affects individuals with neurological conditions, with a focus on people in the chronic phase of stroke. He is currently funded by a Rehabilitation Research and Development Career Development Award (RR&D CDA-2) from the Department of Veterans Affairs. 

Marcl

  • Marc Lewis, PhD
    • Dr. Marc Lewis is Director of Applied Sports Science for the Houston Texans. He is a certified strength and conditioning specialist through the National Strength Conditioning Association. He holds a Ph.D. in exercise physiology and has published peer-reviewed research in the areas of exercise physiology and human performance.
