As part of our mission, the College of Education offers low- and no-cost professional
learning opportunities to assist our students, faculty, staff, and alumni to acquire,
enhance, and refine the knowledge, skills, practices, and dispositions necessary to
create and support high achievement in all areas of study.
The college hosts workshops, conferences, expos, courses, certifications, school-based
cohorts and more in the pursuit of professional excellence.

Kinesiology Research Day is an annual event that explores new research and knowledge in kinesiology, including such topics as exercise science, sports psychology, physical therapy, coaching, fitness, nutrition, and more.
Future Georgia Educators Signing Day is a day held annually that is set aside to honor
those high school students who have answered the calling to devote themselves to a
career in education.
The AU National Writing Project Summer Institute will open its doors to area educators to offer professional and personal development in the realm of writing and literacy. The heart of the program is the summer institute, an immersive writing experience where a community of writers explore issues in writing and in teaching writing. They will learn how to write, to improve their writing, how writers think, and how to better teach writing.
Spaces go fast for the annual Kids University Summer Camp at Augusta University. Held weekly in June on the Summerville campus, the camp has an integrative STEM/STEAM curriculum and tackles a different interactive topic each week.
An exciting day of professional learning, networking, and college visitation for students who may be considering a career in education, Future Georgia Educators Day is organized in partnership with the Professional Association of Georgia Educators (P.A.G.E.).
