The Hull College of Business Women's Leadership Academy (WLA) is a unique, annual program for career-focused undergraduate women to discover and develop their leadership skills in a positive, educational environment.

This program is designed for those who identify with the female gender, interested in entrepreneurship or business, and applicants may be pursuing any undergraduate degree at Augusta University.

This experience begins in August consisting of monthly sessions through March of the following year with fellow participants and professional mentors.

The program started in the fall of 2019 after the Hull College of Business received a $50,000 grant from the ADP Foundation.

The grant funds $1,000 annual scholarships for each participant and $1,000 scholarships for peer leaders returning as mentors after completing the academy.

The participants are also matched with ADP mentors during the program to help further develop their leadership skills.

This experience begins in August, consisting of monthly sessions through March of the following year, covering topics such as leadership styles, mentorship, emotional intelligence, the power of networking, public speaking, interviewing, and salary negotiation.

Each cohort also adopts a service project, attends networking events (such as the chamber of commerce’s Women in Business Luncheons), business site visits (such as Amazon and Georgia Bureau of Investigation), and other activities to develop the leadership skills of young women.
