Chi Sigma Iota serves as a link to promote interaction between counselor educators, students, alumni and local professionals. The chapters provide a forum for interaction, sharing of concerns, discussion of issues and support for common interests. Many chapters schedule meetings and solicit speakers on a variety of topics relevant to counselors, serving as a resource for continuing education. Chapters have conducted service activities and have organized social gatherings to facilitate interactions between members.
The COE Ambassadors will represent the college in a unique capacity, providing incoming
students an opportunity to see the college from the student perspective. Each Ambassador
will establish lasting relationships with faculty and staff resulting in professional
development, networking opportunities, and gaining leadership skills.
The COE Ambassadors will be chosen through a selection process that includes an application
and an interview. Applications will be accepted during the spring semester every year.
Interviews will only be given to those that have a 3.0 cumulative GPA or higher and
have successfully completed one semester of the program. Ambassadors are expected
to serve a full year, with each term beginning in the summer and concluding in the
spring, and maintain the 3.0 GPA requirement.
