Educational Partnerships, New Teacher Induction, Educational Leadership, and Accreditation
Dr. Judi Wilson was appointed Dean of the College of Education in July 2019. Prior to this appointment she served as an Interim Dean for one year; Associate Dean for Initial Certification, Accreditation, and Partnerships for two years; as the Department Chair of Teacher Education for five years; and as Assistant Chair for two years. She has been a faculty member at AU since January 2003. She has been an educator for almost 30 years. Dean Wilson is certified to teach grades P-8 and taught elementary school in Athens, Perry, and Cochran, Ga. She also served as a primary, middle school and district level administrator. She is passionate about partnerships and collaboration as well as providing support for new teacher induction.
Dr. Wilson received her Ed.D in Educational Administration at Georgia Southern University. She also earned an Ed.S. degree in Educational Leadership and an M.Ed. degree in Early Childhood Education from The University of Georgia, in addition to a B.A. in Education degree from Furman University. She, her husband, Greg, and their twin sons (Carter and Tanner) have lived in Augusta since 1999. Her sons graduated in 2019 from the College of Nursing at Augusta University.
