Stigma in Psychotic Disorders: Relationships with Insight, Resilience, and Social and Occupational Functioning

This study will recruit 100 subjects that are male or female outpatients, age 18-65 years of age, with chart diagnoses of schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, or bipolar disorder with psychotic features. The purpose of this study is to determine if deficits in insight reduce internalized stigma in patients with Psychotic Disorders and to determine in a large population of patients with Psychotic Disorders if higher levels of resilience and/or higher levels of social and occupational functioning are associated with less internalized stigma and more stigma resistance.


Eligibility Criteria

  • Subject eligibility includes male or female outpatients, 18-65 years of age, with a chart diagnosis of schizophrenia, or schizoaffective disorder, or bipolar disorder with psychotic features.
