Augusta University collaborates with two partner foundations to receive and manage donations to the university and health system: the Augusta University Foundation and the Medical College of Georgia Foundation. While unique in their missions, functions, and governing boards, the foundations share a common goal, making AU better for the people we serve.

Augusta University Foundation
In 1963, the Augusta University Foundation was established. The Foundation is a non-profit corporation established under the laws of Georgia exclusively for charitable or educational purposes in accord with section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code and subject to all applicable state and federal laws. The foundation functions in cooperation with Augusta University, which is governed by the Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia, and seeks to comply with all policies of the Board of Regents regarding cooperative organizations.

MISSION
The sole purpose of the foundation is to advance the mission of Augusta University and its long-term academic priorities through the following means:
Medical College of Georgia Foundation
The Foundation was incorporated in 1954 as a not-for-profit corporation to acquire and hold property and money to improve and maintain the high standards of instruction at the Medical College of Georgia, to create and maintain fellowships for the study of medicine and related disciplines, to create and maintain facilities for research in medical science by both faculty and students and to award scholarships and in other ways assist MCG Students.
MISSION
The Mission of the Medical College of Georgia Foundation is to improve the quality of life of the people of Georgia, the nation, and the world by supporting the advancement of education, research, and patient care at the Medical College of Georgia.
