Bio

Dr. Crute earned a PhD in Chemistry from the University of South Carolina. His research interests include biologically active small organic molecules, drug discovery, and chemical education.

Teaching Interests

Dr. Crute is an organic chemist whose teaching experience includes CHEM 3411 and 3412 Introductory Organic Chemistry I and II, CHEM 4460 Advanced Organic Chemistry- Mechanisms, CHEM 3820 Laboratory Management and Safety, and CHEM 6170 Biomolecular Techniques. He currently teaches CHEM 4450/6450 Advanced Organic Chemistry- Synthesis and CHEM 4700 Integrated Laboratory.
