Nate Koerber is a former K-12 teacher, having served as a Kindergarten and an English as a Second Language teacher in southern Colorado, where he also earned his Masters of Arts in Cultural and Linguistic Diversity. These experiences instigated Nate to return to graduate school so he might better serve schools, administrators, and their communities. He attended and graduated from the University of Tennessee-Knoxville with a doctoral degree in Education Leadership and Policy Studies. His research interests pertain to supporting Emergent Bilinguals and Multilingual Learners, teacher/leader preparation, policy analysis, and policy implementation. Prior to coming to Augusta, he worked as a Postdoctoral Scholar at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas where he served educators, their schools, and their communities by helping providing teacher preparation, professional developments, and alternative avenues to teacher licensure.
