Dr. Kapoor graduated in medicine from University of Delhi, India, Internal Medicine Residency at Coney Island Hospital, Cardiology Fellowship from Coney Island/ New York Hospital Program Cornell University, N.Y. and served as Chief Medical Resident and Chief Cardiology Fellow. He was honored for Outstanding Cardiology Fellow and Medical Resident respectively. His Interventional Cardiology Fellowship from St. Michael’s Heart and Vascular Institute/ Seton Hall University Program in Newark, NJ was completed in 2002. Board certified in Interventional Cardiology, Nuclear Cardiology, Cardiology and Internal Medicine. Dr. Kapoor is interested in Clinical and Interventional Cardiology, particularly in emerging therapies and coronary artery disease. He has participated in clinical trials evaluating drug eluting stents, and exploring new treatment modalities for acute coronary syndromes and peripheral vascular diseases. In February 2016, Dr. Kapoor received "The Patient Care Award" from the MCG Faculty Senate for exceptional achievement in the area of patient care.
