The College of Education Dean’s Lecture Series brings to Augusta University preeminent scholars and leaders in their respective fields to share their knowledge with faculty and students and to present work that has had significant impact in addressing the many 21st century challenges in education, counseling, and kinesiology.
Previous speakers have addressed issues of educational attainment differences among diverse populations, historical roles of educators in the classroom during major cultural movements, and more.

Dr. Tondra Loder-Jackson, director of the Center for Urban Education at the University of Alabama – Birmingham, lectured on the role of educators during the Civil Rights movement.
Each lecture in the series includes time for audience questions.
Lectures may be followed by a panel discussion with area experts.
The Dean's Lecture Series is free and open to the Augusta University community, and the public at large.
