I was born in Maracaibo, the second largest city in Venezuela, which forms an inlet of the Caribbean Sea. While I attended catholic school, our congregation placed a heavy emphasis on missionary work and social service, and growing up I felt very connected to that experience.
I moved to the US as a teenager, and attended college in south Florida. Financial constraints made it impossible for me to continue my medical education in the states, so I decided to attend medical school back in my hometown, where I graduated with honors.
After some twists and turns of fate I made the cross country move to Augusta, and it has been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. I have found the people at MCG to be kind, warm, and welcoming, making it very easy to be happy here.
In addition to my Fellowship in Movement Disorders, I’m part of the GME subcommittee on Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Health Disparities.
My professional goals include completing my training in Neurology, with a particular interest in dystonia and deep brain stimulation.
My non-traditional path to medicine has shaped me into the person I am today, reframing my perspective on life and strengthening my determination to constantly evolve into the best person I can be.
I was born and raised near Savannah, GA where I also received my bachelor's degree from Armstrong Atlantic State University. I am a graduate of Morehouse School of Medicine in Atlanta, GA. My goals include completing a fellowship in movement disorders and possibly a career in academic medicine. My favorite hobbies include reading, trying new baking recipes, and watching musicals. In my time off, I enjoy road trips, hiking, going to the beach, and spending time with my husband and our dog.
Hello! I’m Siegried. I was born and raised in the Philippines and completed medical school at De La Salle Medical and Health Sciences Institute.
I migrated to the US in 2020 right before the pandemic hit and lived in San Francisco, CA. Fate has brought me the opportunity to be a Memory Disorders Pre-Clinical Fellow here at Augusta University and made the big cross-country move. I have a particular passion for Cognitive disorders through taking care of my grandparents who are 94 and 86 years of age. I look forward to a year of helping and guiding patients and their families in their journey of caring for their loved ones.
I am thrilled to explore Augusta and learn as much as I can through my mentors and work with all the amazing staff here at MCG.
In my free time, I enjoy cuddling with our French bulldog (Truffle), working out, collecting and propagating house plants, exploring different restaurants, and traveling with my husband.
