USRDS study groups
The United States Renal Data System (USRDS) is a de-identified federal data set containing demographic and Medicare billing
information on all ESRD and transplant patients in the United States.
Currently there are three USRDS study groups engaged in T2 translational research:
- Nephrology
- Infectious Diseases
- Cardiology.
Department of Medicine USRDS study program
The USRDS study program in the Department of Medicine was first conceived in Spring
2011, the dataset purchased later that year and the first queries instituted in early
2012. Since then the program has expanded to three study groups engaged in T2 translational
research.
