Matt Lyon

I am Matt Lyon, MD FACEP and I am the Director of The Center for Ultrasound Education at the Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University.

I have taught emergency ultrasound to physicians from all over the South-East US. This includes physicians from residency training programs to private practice physicians who completed residency before ultrasound was being used in emergency practice.

I specifically design the course to your skill level and ONLY include the ultrasound exams you feel will be most applicable to your practice. You will not spend your valuable time sitting through lectures which you have no interest. This is a fully customizable course, one in which I strive to help you overcome all hurdles in learning and applying ultrasound into your clinical practice.

There are three distinct components of Emergency Ultrasound: Image Acquisition, Image Interpretation, and Clinical Integration. It is upon these three foundation components that the education is built upon. I focus on helping you master each of these components so that at the end of the course, you will be fully equipped to begin the credentialing process at your hospital.
