The Mission of the Augusta University Physical Therapy Orthopaedic Residency program is to develop physical therapists who demonstrate excellence in advanced clinical reasoning and specialty practice, utilizing a patient and family-centered approach to care for individuals with orthopaedic conditions as demonstrated by successful completion of learning requirements.
The Orthopaedic Residency program will provide educational and clinical experiences in an academic health care system affiliated with a regional Level 1 trauma center, children's hospital, and over 80 outpatient facilities.

This post-professional educational program is based upon the criteria set forth by the ABPTRFE's Description of Residency Practice (DRP): Orthopaedic Physical Therapy.
