Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated was nationally founded January 16, 1920 at Howard University in Washington, D.C. by five founders, also known as our five pearls, with the help of two founders of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Incorporated.
The Oh So Sophisticated Sigma Rho Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated was chartered at Augusta University on September 9, 2002 by six members, known as the “Z-Liteful Six.” We are sponsored by the Eta Theta Zeta Graduate Chapter in Augusta, Georgia and the only sorority that is constitutionally bound to a fraternity, which is Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Incorporated.
The ladies of the Sigma Rho Chapter are dedicated to our Charter Members' legacy of maintaining Zeta Phi Beta's purpose of fostering the ideals of service, charity, scholarship, civic and cultural endeavors, sisterhood, and finer womanhood.
