Augusta University JagWire 05 April 2021: National Guard liaison brings experience to Augusta University’s ROTC program

With Simultaneous Membership Program (SMP), you can participate in both the National Guard and complete your degree at Augusta University simultaneously. Through this program, you'll pair with a unit officer, who will mentor you. You will have a job and get paid to drill once a month with your Guard unit. There are more benefits to the program including but not limited to:

  • 100% tuition coverage with the Guaranteed Reserve Forces Duty Scholarships 
  • Cash bonus based on your Military Occupational Specialty (MOS)
  • Monthly allowance, depending on your grade level
  • Additional financial support through the Montgomery GI Bill® and Guard Kicker

Upon graduation from Augusta University, you will receive your commission as a second lieutenant and serve in the National Guard or the Army.
