Students learn the clinical application of the dental hygiene process through a variety of different practical methods.
Laboratory education provides hands-on mastery of skills like performing oral examinations, the application of topical fluoride, placing temporary restorations and applying sealants.

“We were surprised that we won but we were really passionate about our project to begin with. It’s just amazing that a lot of people also were interested in the pitch."
“I asked a couple of the lawmakers why they chose state politics over federal politics, and they all said because they felt they could have a bigger impact on our citizens at the state level," said Lee Saffold, a fourth-year political science major.
