    Jags4Jags Mentoring Programs

Jags4Jags Mentoring Programs support student success through meaningful one-on-one mentoring connections at key points in the college experience.

Through Jags4Jags Peer Mentoring, first-year students are paired with a peer mentor who is invested in their success and ready to help them navigate the transition to college.

Through Jags4Jags: Momentum, second-year students are matched with a professional staff member or an alumni mentor who provides guidance and support in academics, career exploration, leadership development, and personal growth.

Together, these programs help students build confidence, expand their networks, develop valuable skills, and take advantage of opportunities both inside and outside the classroom. Explore both mentoring opportunities below and apply today!

    Why Jags4Jags?

    • Immediate connection to Augusta University through other students, staff, and alumni
    • Gain first-hand knowledge of what it’s like to be an Augusta University Jaguar.
    • Access to an insider’s view on resources and navigating the campus
    • Improved academic and career success
    • Opportunities to build your professional networks and skills

    How It Works

    • Students mentees will be matched with a mentor based on common interests, background, academics, and professional aspirations. To get started, students and mentors register and complete an online survey designed to better understand their personalities, experiences, and goals.
    • Mentors and mentees are encouraged to connect 2–4 times per month, with communication frequency and format determined by each pair’s preferences. Pairs may connect in person or through text, Zoom, Slack, and/or phone.
    • Jags4Jags Peer Mentoring also offers three community-building events each year where students can de-stress, connect with their mentors, and build relationships with other students in the program.

    Coming Fall 2026 – Jags4Jags Momentum

The Jags4Jags: Momentum program supports second-year students by connecting them one-on-one with a professional staff member or alumni mentor invested in their continued success. Students are paired with someone ready to provide guidance, encouragement, and insight as they navigate academics, career exploration, involvement, leadership development, and personal growth. The program is designed to help students maintain momentum during their sophomore year while building professionalism, expanding their networks, and developing confidence in their academic and career goals. Through meaningful mentorship, students are supported holistically and encouraged to take advantage of opportunities both inside and outside the classroom. Mentors also have the opportunity to give back to the university community while supporting the development of future professionals and leaders.
