We're all in this together.
The Jags4Jags Mentoring Program enhances the new student experience by linking first-year students one-on-one with a peer mentor. Students are paired with someone invested in their success — a person ready to listen, inspire, help navigate challenges and recognize opportunities. Students will learn what to expect in school, how to approach challenges, gain career advice and valuable insights, while mentors will build their networks and develop skills to become better professionals and leaders.

Here at Augusta University, we believe that connections through mentorship are key to the Augusta University experience. We encourage all students to participate in the Jags4Jags Mentorship Program in order to create lifelong connections that facilitate the growth and development in all involved. The snipet below provides a glimpse into the mentorship experience here at Augusta University.
Mentors and mentees are encouraged to communicate at least 2 - 4 times per month, although pairs can communicate more or less frequently depending on individual preferences. Pairs can communicate in person, via text, Zoom, Slack, and/or phone.
We are actively enrolling students and mentors for the upcoming school year. If you’re interested in learning more about Jags4Jags, and you're currently a student, sign up!
Students will be matched with a peer mentor based on common interests, background, academics and professional aspirations. To get started, students and mentors register and complete an online survey to assess personality and experience.
What do mentors and mentees discuss?
Mentors are invested in new student success. The goal of the mentor is to assist with the needs of the student through accountability and connection as well as support their academic and personal goals at Augusta University.
Freshmen who sign up will be matched with a mentor personalized to meet your needs. This is a great step to achieving your success! These mentors will strive to help with your future goals and aspirations in a way that works for you.

Mentorship has been a very valuable asset to my life and career so far. I believe it is my duty to also give back like the mentors who have been part of my success so far.“
