regions united by a common commitment to excellence, and seek an atmosphere of mutual
respect in which faculty, medical students, residents and fellows work as colleagues.
We pair residents and fellows with faculty advisors who serve as mentors, and host
numerous social events throughout the year to promote a sense of family within the
department. Residents who graduate from our program have an outstanding record of
selection for fellowships in competitive subspecialties in surgery. Our residents
and fellows have been successful in securing positions in academic departments and
as leaders in the community practice of surgery.
