One of the strengths of the Medical College of Georgia Internal Medicine program is the ability to pursue fellowships. We offer all of the major fellowships here including cardiology, pulmonary and critical care medicine, gastroenterology, hematology and oncology, infectious disease, nephrology, endocrinology, rheumatology, allergy-immunology and sports Medicine .

Having all of these programs gives us access to both current fellows as well as faculty members in these fields. We work closely with all of these divisions both clinically and in research. Approximately half of our graduates who pursue fellowship elect to stay at MCG for their fellowship training and all of the fellowships offered have at least one graduate of the internal medicine program within their ranks. Having the ability to stay on for fellowship as well as go onto other academic institutions for further training is a major strength of our program.
