Hello! I was born in Kathmandu, Nepal, and I have spent most of my life in Atlanta, GA. I went to undergrad at Augusta University and went to medical school here at MCG, so I am quite familiar with the area. I have made it a personal goal to visit every single restaurant in Augusta. In my free time, I like watching movies, reading, and shopping. I also enjoy walking along the Savannah river. I am also forcing myself to go running more. I became interested in psychiatry during my third-year rotations. I had lots of fun in my child and adolescent psychiatry rotation--it didn't even feel like I was doing work! Therefore, I am currently considering pursuing a child and adolescent fellowship after my residency.

Hello, I'm Maytte. I'm originally from Puerto Rico. I attended my undergrad at Augusta University and medical school at Medical College of Georgia. It has been a pleasure to work with the psychiatric staff and residents here as a medical student. I am happy to be working with them in residency. Upon graduation from residency, I would like to work in public psychiatry. In my free time I enjoy gardening, painting, and playing with my dog Artemis.

Hi! I was born and raised in Murrayville, Georgia. I majored in biology at Berry College in Rome, Georgia. After graduation, I spent a few years as an EMT and medical scribe in an emergency department before attending medical school here at the Medical College of Georgia. I completed my clinical rotations in Southwest Georgia where I got to see firsthand how many communities in Georgia do not have access to mental healthcare, especially in the more rural areas of the state. I am interested primarily in general psychiatry at this time. In my free time I enjoy playing tennis, hiking, woodworking, and disc golf.

Hi, I’m Crystal! I grew up right outside of Augusta in Aiken, SC. I attended the University of South Carolina for both undergrad and medical school. I unexpectedly fell in love with psychiatry during my third year of medical school. I am interested in pursuing child and adolescent psychiatry at this time, but am still open to exploring other realms of psychiatry that I haven’t been exposed to yet. I chose MCG because it has a supportive atmosphere with a strong emphasis on teaching while also offering a good work-life balance. In my free time, I like to spend time with my husband & son, travel to new places, and find new recipes to try.

Hi everyone! Thank you for considering our program. I was born in Delhi, India, raised in Hamilton, Ontario, and moved to the U.S. in late high school. Since then, I’ve had the pleasure of living in North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and New York. I attended North Carolina State University where I graduated with a B.S. in Biochemistry and went onto attend medical school in Erie, PA. My personal and professional experiences in medical school reinforced the importance of practicing medicine holistically. I found psychiatry to be a specialty where I had the time and means to help my patients regain their quality of life. I’m currently open to different subspecialties and patient populations within psychiatry, and I know that our supportive program, with its wide range of rotations and opportunities, will help me realize my niche. In my free time, I enjoy watching Netflix, listening to audiobooks, eating Chipotle, and spending time with my family/friends.
