The Medical Simulation Program at MCG provides immersive simulated clinical experiences using low- and high-fidelity mannequins, task trainers, and other hands-on technologies which provide opportunities for individual, group, and interprofessional learning. Simulation is integrated across the spectrum of medical education including medical students, residents, fellows and faculty.

The mission of the Medical College of Georgia Medical Simulation Program is to provide support to the Medical College of Georgia community in the design, development, and implementation of high-quality formative and summative educational simulation activities.

We strive to:

  • Provide a positive learning experience for all learners in a controlled learning atmosphere.
  • Allow learners to reinforce the knowledge obtained from the Medical College of Georgia medical school curriculum.
  • Provide learners with the opportunity to experience a variety of clinical situations in a controlled setting and enable important behaviors to be assessed in a standardized environment.
  • Train faculty in the best practices of simulation education
