![]() Casey Derella, PhD in Physiology student Conference: North American Cystic Fibrosis Conference (NACFC) 2022 "My abstract was selected for a short oral presentation in a session entitled, 'The Wonderful World of Exercise: What’s New in CF Care?' The presentation went great and sparked a lot of conversation at the opening ceremony event that followed. NACFC22 was a great networking conference. I met a number of future colleagues at UVA (where my post-doc with will be), in which we discussed ways I could still be involved with CF-related research. I also had the pleasure of meeting in-person with many of our Emory colleagues which whom we collaborate on a number of projects." ![]() Stephanie Johnson, PhD in Applied Health Sciences student Conference: 2022 Northeast Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (NEALS) Meeting "I presented my dissertation research as a poster, titled 'A Mixed Methods Pilot Study: Quality of Life in Persons with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) in a Southern US, Interdisciplinary Clinic.' During this session, I was able to share, collaborate, and network with health professionals, researchers, and key players within ALS research, including pharmaceutical investors/companies. By presenting at this conference, I am now working toward joint collaborations to expand my dissertation research, as well as include more qualitative and quality of life research within a national database for ALS." |
