Dr. Otunuga is an Assistant Professor in the department of mathematics.. He earned his Ph.D. degree in Pure and Applied Mathematics from University of South Florida and his M.A. degree in Mathematics from Marshall University.
Dr. Otunuga has rich key strength in analyzing complex data using innovative and/or existing statistical methods. He has a broad range of interests in applying statistical methodological tools for solving real problems in biomedicine and public health.
He developed a patent titled “Local lagged Adapted Generalized Method of Moments Dynamic Process” with patent number US 10,719,578. The patent, abbreviated LLGMM, was granted and issued on July 21, 2020. The embodiments described in the patent are directed towards the development of a time varying parameter and state estimation scheme.
