Mission
The mission of the Health Information Administration program is to prepare competent
entry-level HIA professionals for a variety of roles within the healthcare delivery
system to include transformative roles in informatics, data analytics and information
governance as well as traditional HIA practices and standards.
Goals
- The HIA curriculum will include, at a minimum, the required knowledge cluster content
and experiences that will enable students to meet current RHIA entry-level competencies.
- Faculty will demonstrate current knowledge and expertise in the areas they teach.
- Graduates will demonstrate RHIA entry-level competencies.
- Our HIA program will provide leadership and educational opportunities to our community
