The mission of the Augusta University Arts Council is to promote a positive and creative campus environment by encouraging and supporting the arts and humanities.

Scope of Operation

The Augusta University Arts Council operates as a coordination and communication nexus for arts- and humanities-related activities between groups throughout the Enterprise and in the community.


  • To provide coordinated and experienced leadership in an advisory capacity to the university and health system administration regarding the arts and humanities.
  • To enhance the healing and academic environment on campus for patients, their families, visitors, employees and students through the arts and humanities.
  • To enhance the community’s knowledge and image of the university and health system through the arts and humanities.
  • To maintain a diverse and active Augusta University Arts Council membership, which reflects an interest in arts and humanities.
  • To support the establishment of a museum(s) to house items of an historical, cultural or scientific value related to Augusta University, its legacy institutions, and AU Health System.

Noon Arts Performance

Thursday, Sept 26, 2019, Noon, Lee Auditorium

The performing arts return again to the Health Sciences Campus, as the Augusta University Arts Council presents the Noon Arts Concert Series. Join us as we welcome performers from multiple areas of the university and health system to the Lee Auditorium. Support your fellow students, staff and faculty as they play instruments, recite poetry or sing.

Free admission. Light snacks and drinks will be provided to first 100 attendees.
