Living on Campus

You can attend college, or you can live it! Our community environment is essential for students to excel and adjust to life at Augusta University while encouraging leadership and community involvement. You will interact with a diverse community of students and create a network of friends and classmates within your residence hall. You will benefit from a support structure of resident advisers and housing employees who will assist you in your transition to the university and living away from home.

Augusta University also offers Living-Learning Communities (LLC's) to provide a supportive residential learning opportunity to freshmen students who want to live on campus. This allows you to live and attend some classes with other students who have declared a major similar to yours.

Get Involved

Education at Augusta University doesn’t begin and end with your class schedule. The Office of Student Life & Engagement is committed to providing innovative programs to help students get involved on campus, giving Jaguars opportunities to develop leadership skills and pursue their interests through experiential learning. Our team supports over 170 student organizations, an engaged Greek Life community, leadership training, and advises the Jaguar Production Crew, Homecoming Executive Council, Week of Welcome as well as the Student Government Association.

Bring Your A Game

The Jaguars compete in both NCAA Division I and Division II athletics. As one of the best collegiate golf programs in the nation, both the men’s and women’s golf teams compete at the Division I Level. The Division II teams include volleyball, baseball, softball, cross country, basketball, tennis, and track and field. At Augusta, you can also Bring Your A Game and show your school spirit by participating on our Spirit Squads or in the Jaguar Pep Band.

Visit the Campus

Daily Sneak Peak Tours: Student-led tours & staff-led information sessions of the Augusta University Summerville Campus are offered Monday–Friday at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Reservations are required. Tours generally last one hour.

Preview Day: An open house that includes campus tours, academic information sessions, housing tours and more! Preview is held on select Saturdays in the Fall and Spring semesters.

Transfer Students with less than 30 academically transferable credits should submit and official high School transcript and SAT/ACT scores.

Military

The Office of Military & Veterans Services (MVS) offers VA benefit certification, tuition assistance facilitation, Vet 2 Vet mentoring, tutoring and hosts special events for veterans and family members. MVS provides a Military Resource Center (MRC) with a lounge, group study room and computer lab exclusively for military-affiliated students. We honor the service of our military men and women and their families. We are grateful for their sacrifices to protect the freedoms and security we enjoy.

In collaboration with the Department of Defense, Augusta University developed The Augusta University Degree Completion Initiative (AUDCI) to help the various branches achieve their missions by creating a system to help DoD employees, both military and non-military, earn their bachelor’s degree here at Augusta University.
