Eligible to Apply:

Responsibilities: A Peer-Tutor works closely with students to help them achieve their academic potential. Tutors must be proficient in the subject and have excellent communication and documentation skills. General duties include working with students one-on-one or in small group workshop sessions.
 
The primary responsibility of the tutor is to support the ASC’s mission to collaborate with campus partners to increase and motivate student learning by utilizing best practices to help them achieve their academic potential. In this role, tutors must have excellent communication and time management skills along with the ability to adjust his or her tutoring strategies to meet the needs of the students.
 
REQUIREMENTS
  • Attend Mandatory Tutor Training. Enroll in the ASC 1201 TL Peer Educators.
  • Current student at Augusta University enrolled in a minimum of 10 credit hours.
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA with at least a 3.0 in the course(s) you wish to tutor.
  • A current Faculty recommendation letter/email in the subject you wish to tutor.
