Sand Hills Literary Magazine

1989 Sand HillsIn addition to upholding this long-standing tradition of publishing quality student artwork and writing, Sand Hills seeks to also grow in scope and to further elevate the quality of our publication and the reputation of our students. Beginning in Fall 2017, we plan to market the magazine as a national publication. Sand Hills will still remain a predominantly Augusta University student publication—with at least 51 percent of the published material coming from Augusta University contributors. However, this enhanced effort to be more diverse and inclusive will put us on par with the practice of journals at our peer institutions.

An undergraduate student editorial board annually selects the best art, poetry and prose submissions and marshals the magazine through all phases of production. Student editors also select the winners of the Sand Hills prizes for Best Artwork, Best Poetry and Best Prose.
